Despite my good intentions, we are quite reliant on electricity for our entertainment. Family game night is one of those things that families can do with no electricity – and as a bonus, it’s great for bonding.

For me it’s a tie between Scrabble and Uno. The kids seem to like Uno better because it’s a shorter game.
Monopoly was my favorite when growing up. Later on my children also enjoyed monopoly and Scrabble.

Our latest game that we are enjoying for game night is Boggle. We let the younger kids make 3 letter or larger words. The rest of us have to make 4 letters or higher. It makes it funner for everyone that way.

Our all time favorite is Pictionary. Each team has an easel with a dry erase board. We get so into the fun! Snacks are very necessary also!
Our favorite games were always dominoes and Scrabble with an occasional game of Chickenfoot. I would really love to get back into having a family game night. It just has been hard since Mom passed away. Maybe the excuse of getting everyone to help me break in these new games and a puzzle could get us started again.
