My kids love attending shows in Boston, but the price can often make it difficult for us to do as a family. On November 1st, 2012, 9th Annual Mayor’s Holiday Special launched for the season, offering 13,000 half-price tickets to more than 70 performances. Shows include family favorites like The Nutcracker in Boston and Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, as well as more adult-type shows, like Rachmaninov / Piano Concerto No. 2: George Li, piano | Shostakovich / Symphony No. 5. While many of the shows are in Boston, some are in the local suburbs. Ticket allotments change daily and quantities are limited.
In addition to the half-price tickets, the site also includes a full calendar of free and low cost festivities along with a $10-off restaurant voucher. You can also get 20% off parking at select locations.
Win it! I have a $100 Gift Certificate to BosTix to giveaway to one lucky winner. Enter via the Rafflecopter.
