My hair, which is color treated and frequently heat styled, takes a beating in the summer. Between chlorine, UV rays, and salt water, my hair is often very dry and frizzy. While many products claim to reduce damage from the sun, many of them are either masks or serums that need to be used prior to washing your hair.
I was offered the opportunity to review Living Proof Restore Revitalizing Spray with Heat and UV Defense – a lightweight spray that works on both wet and dry hair. It not only protects hair against damage from the sun’s rays, it also adds a light polish to the hair surface. I’ve been using it every day, and it has really worked well in reducing damage. I use it on my hair when it’s wet, and then spray a bit just to finish the style. While it goes on like hair spray, it isn’t sticky and doesn’t make the hair stiff. The bottle is pretty large, and will last a while, but a smaller bottle is also available.
