I know that there are quite a few readers on here who are expecting their first babies, and are wondering what products they should buy and register for. I highly recommend the Baby Bargains book by Denise and Alan Fields. A friend of mine recommended this book to me when I was pregnant with my first child, and I was amazing to find such a wonderful resource! It contains reviews of all kinds of baby products, including what is worth paying for, and what is a waste of money - and because the Fields’ maintain a high traffic website, they are able to incorporate many real customer’s experiences also. If you register at a large baby store, you are likely to see lots of other parents walking around with dog eared copies of this book.
Even after my child was born, I refused to pass this book down to my sister, choosing instead to buy her a new one as a gift! Once my daughter grew out of the baby stage, I raced to the store to purchase the Toddler Bargains companion book. I would also recommend a visit to their website, www.babybargains.com. Baby Bargains can be purchased at any bookstore including Amazon.com.
