Since the birth of our second child we have received some very thoughtful and practical gifts. Recently, I opened my door to a wonderful package: a white styrofoam cooler filled with prepared dishes from a la Zing! We all know how chaotic life becomes when a new little one is introduced into the family. There just never seems to be enough time for all of those small tasks, especially cooking a healthy and well-rounded meal. To have prepared and ready-to-cook meals eased the first week we had with no family here to help. Some of the entrees required no defrosting and were prepared in the microwave, while others needed to be thawed in the refrigerator overnight and cooked on the grill or oven. My family and I enjoyed the meals, and the extra time, thoroughly. My son’s favorites were the vegetable sides. More specifically, he loved the sweet corn medley and the green beans with peppers and onions.
