Your Preschooler Can Become a Tiny Builder

June 12th, 2007

As my little one has grown from a toddler to a preschooler, I’m finding that she’s interested in different things - playing by herself, building, and exploring.  We recently had the chance to try out a new K’NEX builder set made especially for preschoolers.  I was impressed with the quality, while my daughter loved building little creatures.

These new kid K’NEX sets were introduced in the Spring of 2007 and are made especially for little builders.  We received the Country Friends set, which has all the right pieces to put together country animals.  The colors are bright, and the pieces easily lock together, making it ideal for little ones.  Our little one enjoyed putting together her own creations, while also asking us to help her in more difficult tasks.  She especially loved the big eyes that came with the set, and enjoyed creating “monsters” and animals.

The quality of these sets is great.  Some of the pieces are rather small, so we did keep this toy away from our infant.  However, for a preschooler, it’s absolutely perfect.  You can find more information on K’NEX toys at http://www.knex.com/.
