The Perfect First Wallet for A Child

September 26th, 2007

A while back, we reviewed the LearningCents Bank, which we really feel can help a child learn good money habits.  Another way to teach your child the value of money is to give them the chance to “pay” for thing on their own.  LearningCents has developed the LearningCents wallet, which is a durable, strong wallet developed especially for kids.

These wallets, which come in fun camo colors of green, blue, or pink, are made of durable 600 denier.  They also allow for a lot of organization, with pockets for change, bills, an ID, and gift cards.  A velcro strip across the length of the wallet keeps it closed, and the attached carabiner clip is perfect for carrying on a belt loop or school bag.  I think carrying their own money and paying for their own items is a great way to start kids on the right path to understanding the value of money.
