As loyal readers know, I absolutely love mommy necklaces. I think they are so unique and original, and I always feel that I am close to my children when wearing them. Sometimes, however, a necklace with my kids’ names isn’t always appropriate for where I am going or what I am wearing. In making our necklace, first, we received an imprint kit in the mail. To make the print, all you have to do is combine the two different materials, and roll them into a small, included, plastic case. Once they are combined, you have a short period of time to get a good thumbprint, as the combined material starts to harden. My daughter definitely had fun putting her thumbprint into the material, and was very curious as to what what going to happen with it.
I mailed the container back to Imprint on My Heart, and then a few weeks later, my gorgeous necklace arrived. I am amazed at how beautiful it is! The thumbprint is very clear, and the charm is high quality and solid. My charm hangs on a black twisted satin rope, and is very classic, working with both dressy clothes as well as jeans. My daughter loves the fact that it’s her thumbprint – she keeps telling people “That’s my thumb!”. It’s something I will most definitely have forever!
