Dream Blankets for Warmth and Sweet Dreams

by Jodi on March 16, 2008

Aden + Anais BlanketsWhen my daughter became too big for sleep sacks, we were faced with a dilemna.  It was still very chilly at night, but large blankets seemed too big for her crib, while smaller blankets either weren’t warm enough or she kicked them off immediately.  We needed something warm, big enough to tuck in, but not so thick that she would get overheated.  We got the chance to try out the newly introduced Dream Blanket by aden + anais which is absolutely perfect for this purpose.

The Dream Blanket is made from 6 layers of waffled cotton – the same 100% cotton muslin used in their famous swaddling blankets.  Its size – 47” by 47”- is perfect for a toddler, and the material is super-warm but also breathable.  It keeps my daughter warm but doesn’t overheat her like other blankets do.  Washing it seems to make it even more soft – important in our house because my daughter is still potty training and we find ourselves washing blankets more than we’d like!

For the approaching (I hope!) warmer weather, aden + anais still has their popular swaddling blankets available (as shown in the photograph).  Check out the whole line at http://www.adenandanais.com.
