Day 3:
I woke up at a slightly more reasonable 4:30am on day 3, and again, couldn’t fall back to sleep. Day 3 was really a wrap up day. We started out with a trip to J&J headquarters. Our GM driver got incredibly lost on what was essentially a 2 mile drive, couldn’t figure out where to drop us off, and sort of gave up and made us get out of the car. After a few minutes, the other cars showed up, our driver came back, and we were escorted to the main entrance where name tags were waiting for us.
The breakfast was definitely interesting. Guest speakers included some J&J corporate employees who manage their two blogs, as well as a VP who spoke to us about the Safe Kids program. These employees seemed genuinely interested to hear from us – our thoughts, how the weekend was going, etc. After the breakfast, our GM drivers showed up to return us to the hotel for the product expo portion of the event.
The product expo was something we were all looking forward to – free stuff! We were each given a press kit on CD and a reusable bag, and were sent “shopping”. I picked up items from Splenda, Aveeno, GM, Johnson’s Baby, Band-Aid, Neosporin, Listerine, Purell, and other brands, and then we all headed over to the shipping table, so that we could ship our items home. They really thought of everything!
Overall, I thought this was an amazing event put on by some fabulous women. There were a few areas of improvement – you can see many thoughts (including mine) on Susan Getgoode’s blog.
