I’ll be honest, when I had my daughter, I didn’t know anything about BPA. Although I did breastfeed, after I went back to work, my daughter got bottles of breastmilk at daycare. For those bottles, I just bought the bottles that had the best reviews online, and they worked just fine. After my son was born, I was disheartened to read about BPA, and while lots of contradictory information exists, I didn’t want to take any chances.
I was lucky enough at that point to switch my son to Born Free sippy cups, instead of bottles. But, for new moms, I would definitely recommend Born Free bottles. They are made from BPA-free plastic (glass bottles are also available), and are definitely durable and easy to use. An innovative air vent helps prevent colic symptoms. I love how easy they are to clean.
Born Free bottles are available in Whole Foods and other stores, and can also be purchased online at http://www.newbornfree.com.
