Oh gosh …I have been to this store in the River North area of Chicago three times. Each time I have gone they happened to have had”events” that are so fun…one time a book club, another a spa night…anyway I always learn so much about how to live greener. I say go..you’ll have fun!

Thanks so much for this fabulous write up! We’re glad to hear Chicago thinks so highly of our store! For those of you that don’t know us yet, we would like to point out one important distinction for the responsible shopper. Greenheart is a fair trade store, and we like to let everyone know the difference between free and fair trade. Free trade economies operate without government intervention. Fair trade economies link consumers and producers who agree to fair wages for workers and fair treatment of the environment, regardless of regulation. You can learn more about fair trade, and how it differs from free trade, by joining us in the store for a complimentary cup of organic, fair trade coffee or tea! We’d love to chat with you and find how we can continue to be a positive community resource. And to find out about our fun events, please visit the event section of our website at http://greenheartshop.org/t-gh_events.aspx We look forward to meeting you in the store!

Thank you, Talia, for correcting my typo and explaining the difference between free and fair trade. I wish I lived closer to the Chicago location to enjoy that cup of coffee or tea.
