Peace and Tranquility aren’t always to be had in my home. I’m always trying to find those small bits and pieces of time that’ll let me slow down and enjoy a little calm. Sometimes I find it in five minutes of meditation, sometimes in attempting some form of physical exercise, and sometimes in my time writing. It can also be a state of mind and there is nothing better to put me in the right place mentally than the clothes I wear. During the recent cool days here, south of the border, I’ve been wearing a hoodie from SwamiBaby. Mine has the symbol for “Om” on the front. It’s so comfy that it instantly brings a little pocket of serenity. I love that it sits lower than many of my pre-mommy hoodies do and keeps my “mummy tummy” under cover.
SwamiBaby also offers some of the cutest baby wear I’ve seen. With shirts that tell mommy to breathe or shirts that wittily proclaim “Same Shirt, Different Day. I Recycle,” there’s really something for every little boy or girl. You can also pick out a t-shirt with the element of your child’s personality…the symbol for fire for your little spitfire, water for your cool ‘cucumber,’ or earth and wind for your grounded or flighty little one.
Take a breath and visit SwamiBaby here for some cool mama and baby gear. From 3/10 to 3/15, you’ll receive a free hoodie ($28 value) with any purchase of $60 or more. Indicate size needed in the “Add Special Instructions to merchant” prompt at the checkout.
This contest is closed. Congrats go out to Victoria! Do you want a little piece of nirvana of your very own? SwamiBaby is offering one of our readers a hoodie and a pair of pants (valued at $58)? To enter, please leave a comment below on how or where you find peace. This contest is for US Residents only and it ends 3/16.

I find peace when I walk the beach right after sunrise. It is beautiful and calming.
I find my peace through writing in my journal during naptimes. I also keep a notebook full of inspirational passages, quotes, articles, etc. that I can read at any time regarding areas that have been problems for me in the past.
I also think maintaining a vegetarian diet, also free of caffeine, has been really beneficial for me. When I feel good in my body, I feel better mentally.

I have a three-year-old, a two-year-old, and a one year-old, and I have only had two hours away from them since my eldest was born, so you are asking the wrong person about “peace”. But I can occasionally catch glimpses of it in a hot cup of coffee, a good book, or just sitting on my deck in the morning.

I truly relish the different ways in my life that I find “peace” and I am so blessed to have these outlets so I stay grounded and focused each and every day. The physical way I find peace is by walking our 2 dogs at least 3 times a day! It clears my head of any negativity, gets rid of any built up stress I may have in my mind or manifesting in me physically, like tight shoulders, and also rejuvenates me so I feel when I get back from the walks that I can conquer anything and everything, that gives me a great sense of peace. I also seek more quiet ways of finding peace and that is through Yoga Poses and Meditation. I try to do this every morning before my kids and husband wake up. I find it sets my positive tone for the day and jumps starts me physically and mentally so that any negativity from the day before is gone and I can start the day with a clean slate. I also find peace just staring at my beautiful 6 month old daughter as she sleeps and listening to her breathe. It fills my heart with so much love that sometimes that feeling is so overwhelming it brings tears to my eyes. The simple things in life are what brings me peace and harmony to my life. If you just take some time and notice the little treasures that you have around you, they will bring you so much comfort and peace. Thank you for the opportunity to enter.
