I SPY With My Little Guys & Giveaway

While I’ve seen the I SPY books a number of times in classes that I’ve worked in, I had until recently never actually read one with a child. I’m so happy to say that after reading I SPY A to Z with my son, I am a huge I SPY fan. What a wonderful way to spend our reading time together! I was surprised to see that not only was my oldest son interested in spying but my youngest couldn’t get enough of looking at the pictures and then hunting for the specific items.

The best part of the I SPY books is that you can use them in such a variety of ways. Whether you are just perusing them to look at the pictures, reading and then spying, or finding ways to introduce rhyming and phonics, the I SPY books have it all. In I SPY A to Z, each page has a different letter sound highlighted in the rhyming text. For children ready to take the next step with reading, this book would be a great place to work on letter sounds.
