This summer, I’m participating in Car & Caboodle’s Summer of Fun on the Run! My family will be road-tripping up to Lake Placid, NY to the Whiteface Lodge. Take a look at how gorgeous the exterior of this hotel is! (yes, I know we won’t be seeing snow in August!).
This looks like just the place to have a relaxing 4-day, 3-night trip! There’s an abundance of activities, including a lake-front beach, and two pools, a spa, and a fabulous looking restaurant. There are also some kids’ activities, which we’ll definitely be checking out!
Here’s a look at the clubhouse.
The interior looks amazing too… I love the nostalgic look reminiscent of the old Adirondack lodges.
So, we’ll be visiting later this month, and I’ll be posting reviews of our whole experience here and on Car & Caboodle!
If there are any questions you have about the resort, post them here and I’ll find out the answer while I’m there! Here’s a link to the Whiteface Lodge website.
Disclosure: The Whiteface Lodge is covering one night lodging, three breakfasts, and a family dinner. The remainder of the days have been offered at a media rate.

What a beautiful place for a vacation! I’ll have to keep it in mind next time we venture to NY.
My questions mostly pertain to the “family-friendly” nature of the lodge:
(1) Is there an on-site restaurant? If so, are there high chairs? Do kids eat free or at a discounted price? Are crayons/activities available? Are nutritious options available for kids?
(2) Are the rooms kid-friendly? Are they suite-style?
(3) Do the maids and employees try to make kids feel special?
That kind of thing…
