When it was time for my husband and I to pick out our honeymoon destination ten years ago, we thought about Europe and Tahiti, but ultimately ended up choosing Hawaii. We decided to pick two separate islands – Kauai and Maui, and splurged on some beautiful resorts – The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa for a few days, and the Sheraton Maui Resort for the remainder of the trip.
Upon arriving in Kauai, we couldn’t believe how amazingly beautiful the resort was! We had the best meal ever at Tidepools, and loved the pool area. However, our time there was relatively short, and unfortunately, my husband came down with the worst case of the flu imaginable. By the time we flew to the Sheraton, he was sick enough to need a doctor.
After about a week, my husband was finally better, but we really missed out on so much of our once in a lifetime honeymoon. I think it’s almost time to visit Hawaii again, don’t you? Since I can’t imagine going so far without my two kids, I’ll have to look for a kid-friendly resort.
