I never used to get the flu shot. I’d make sure that my kids were immunized, but never really wanted to get the shot myself.
Until I got the flu.
You have NO IDEA what the flu is like until you have it. It’s not a cold, it’s not a sore throat – it’s so much worse that that. I was out of work for 6 days, but I was weak and tired for over a month. I had a very high fever – almost 102 degrees, and was dizzy, achy, and exhausted.
From that moment on I’ve made getting a flu shot a major priority.
