It’s been a while since I posted an Accutane update, but rather than tell you what I think, I’ll recount this exchange with an ER nurse. On Friday, I slashed my thumb with a food processor blade while emptying the dishwasher, and went in for stitches (ended up with Dermabond)
ER Nurse: Are you on any medications?
Me: Yes, Accutane
ER Nurse: For what? (seriously? It frightens me to know how little our medical professionals know)
Me: Acne
ER Nurse: Well, your skin looks great.
Me: Yes, that’s thanks to the Accutane.
ER Nurse: Well, you should be on a commercial for them.
That’s success, I’d say! Now, let’s just hope this is my last month.
