I thought that as my kids got older, they’d be less interested in stuffed and plush toys. But their interest seems to be increasing rather than decreasing, and their beds are loaded up with lots of cute little animals. If I could start at the beginning, I’d stick with organic stuffed toys for them when they were little – because I think it’s so much better for them to touch and breathe in.
We just received a cute little organic cotton animal from Lilikin and Friends, and surprisingly, my kids fought over this adorable stuffed kitty. The Lilikin stuffed animals, pictured here, are certified organic by the Global Organic Textile Standard. The stuffing is made with recycled polypropylene fibers. While the Lilikin animals are somewhat stiff, they are also very cuddly. They are great gifts for little ones, and are appealing to both boys and girls.
