Although I walk around with a DSLR camera, I’m firmly in the novice camp. But I love taking photos, so I use every opportunity possible to learn more about how my camera works. So when Lotus from Sarcastic Mom offered a photo walk for those attending Blissdom, I couldn’t wait to join in. Here are some of the pictures I got – I’m so thrilled with the amount I learned in just two short hours!
These gorgeous flowers are located in the Delta atrium of the resort – they are perfect for spring.
I LOVE this photo – especially the Epiphanie bag in the background!
Lotus showed me how I can change the shutter speed to make the water look smooth and flowing, rather than choppy. I love this look.
I changed the aperture on this one to make the background blurry.
I can’t wait until my next trip so I can practice more of these techniques!

Beautiful pictures! I need to take a walking class like that.
Great shots!!
GORGEOUS pictures, Jodi.
I had such an amazing time on that Photowalk – so much knowledge shared and fun had, I can’t wait to see everyone’s shots!
