Pure Renewal Dry Shampoo From Aveeno

Aveeno Dry Shampoo With color (and sometimes, keratin) treated hair, I don’t want to wash my hair with shampoo every day.   I’ve found that my color fades much quicker when I wash daily, and when I have keratin treatments, I’m not even supposed to wash my hair for a few days.   But even when I shouldn’t wash, sometimes my hair needs a refresh.

When dry shampoos first came on the market, they were really expensive and left an annoying powder residue.   What’s the point of a shampoo that leaves your hair looking like George Washington?   So, even though I loved the idea of dry shampoo, I avoided them for a while.

Now, one of my favorite brands, Aveeno, is coming out with their own dry shampoo.   It’s part of the Pure Renewal line, and is sulfate-free.   Just spray it in the hair, leave on for a few minutes, and then lightly brush through.   Any of the powder from the spray brushes right out – as long as you follow the directions to spray 8-10 inches from the hair. My favorite part is the smell though – just like some of my other favorite Aveeno products, it smells light and clean.
