Review: Friendship Bracelets and Ribbon Barrettes

Remember these adorable little ribbon barrettes that were so popular in the 80s?   They are back!   My daughter just loves them, and with the My Ribbon Barrette maker from the Choose Friendship Company, she’s able to make her own.   We received three products from the Choose Friendship Company, and she’s been having a blast with them.

The My Ribbon Barrette maker comes with barrettes, ribbons, and beads, and makes it easy for you to know exactly how to run the ribbons.   My daughter is seven, so I started the first one for her, and once she saw how it worked she was able to take over.   She loved being able to pick out her own colors for both the ribbons and the beads.   The kit is completely self-contained and perfect for travel.

We also received the My Friendship Bracelet maker, which helps you make bracelets just like the ones I remember making as a kid.   With the kit though, you no longer have to worry about safety pinning the top of the bracelet to your jeans to hold it in place.   The start of the bracelet just clips to the top of the bracelet maker, and my daughter is able to make bracelets by easily following the directions of where the yarn needs to go.   I do have to help her a bit, but that’s more due to her age than the bracelet maker.   Once she’s mastered it, we’ll move on to some of these more advanced Friendship Bracelet patterns.   Again, it’s entirely self-contained and great for travel, but if you want to save space, the Choose Friendship Company has also released a travel version that comes with pre-cut embroidery thread.

You can learn all about the Choose Friendship Company on their website.

Disclosure: I received these products at no cost for review.
