I’ve made no secret of my love for American Express – whether it’s the purchase protection benefits that you receive (so much better than the benefits I’ve experienced from other cards), to the access to entertainment events and roadside assistance. Since American Express cards aren’t necessarily right for everyone, I was happy to see American Express’ latest product – Bluebird by American Express, available online and in Walmart stores.
I just got my Bluebird card, and plan to load it up for a few purposes – specifically a short family vacation in the next few weeks and holiday shopping. I have set budgets for both of these purposes, and think that Bluebird can really help with maintaining my budget. The Bluebird card also offers lots of features like 24×7 customer service, sub-accounts to manage family expenses, no foreign exchange fees, no annual/monthly/overdraft fees, online bill pay, and direct deposit.
Over the next six weeks, I’m going to be trying out the Bluebird card and will be posting about my experience. I’m planning on focusing on how it’ll work for families – especially those looking to budget and save money on fees.
