This spring, there’s lots of great colors for really fun manicures – here are some of my favorite trends (and polishes).
Spring Nail Polish Trends
Pale Spring Colors
Pastels are always popular in the spring, and this year is no exception. You’ll find lots of pale pinks and neutral colors, as well as trendy colors like pale green and bright light blue. The colors pictured here are Courteney (pale green), Claire (light blue), and Carrie (pale pink). I generally go with a pale pink color for every day, and the trendy colors to match specific outfits.
Metallics and Glitters
Metallics and glitters are also popular this spring, although the spring colors have a bit more color to them. Julep’s limited edition color Jane (upper right of the photo) is a gorgeous glitter color that works well as an accent nail or for a full manicure.
Textures
Textured polishes are still popular, and Opi has recently introduced their liquid sand texture on four nail polish colors. For busy moms, using a textured nail polish is a great way to create a style that is quick and easy to create but looks like it took some effort. I’m also loving Julep’s “holographic” nail polish in Ginger (lower left of the photo), which dries to a semi-matte finish.
Two-Tone/Accent Nails
Two tones are very popular, with lots of people creating twists on the ever popular French manicure. Accent nails are also popular, and are an easier way for a busy mom to get a trendy nail style.
