I wash my hair frequently, and since my hair is color treated and has a tendency to frizz, I’m careful with what I use for shampoo and conditioner. It’s important that my hair products don’t strip my hair of color or essential oils. I prefer to use natural ingredients too. I recently had the opportunity to check out the hair essentials line from DermOrganic, a vegan haircare line that offers Argan Oil shampoos and conditioners.
I received several products from DermOrganic – the Daily Conditioning Shampoo, the Daily Hydrating Conditioner, the Masque Hair Repair, and the Leave-In Treatment. The shampoo is made from facial cleansers and is sulfate-free. However, unlike other sulfate-free shampoos, this one does lather, which makes it easier to use. After shampooing one, I use the conditioner works as a great detangler, but also controls frizz. Depending on the amount of time I have, I’ll use the masque hair repair instead of the daily conditioner. It sits on the hair for a few minutes (I use my Clarisonic during this time), and then rinses out clear. If I don’t use the masque hair repair, I use the leave-in treatment instead, which also conditions my hair, makes it shiny, and controls frizz.
I definitely find DermOrganic’s hair care to be different than other lines. The Argan oil and sulfate-free formula means that it’s creamier than other shampoos I’ve used, but it still rinses out easily. It also does a great job of cleaning – oil and build up from styling products are completely washed out.
DermOrganic’s products are vegan, include no artificial preservatives, are sulfate- and gluten-free, and have a pH between 4.5 and 5.5. To learn more about DermOrganic Argan Oil Shampoos and Conditioners, visit their website.
