I love cheese, and I love bread, but I know that my body works better when I stay somewhat vegan and gluten free. When I went vegan earlier this year, one of the things I realized is that there really are lots of great substitutes to dairy products. In fact, even though I’m no longer vegan, I still avoid lots of different dairy products. So when I had the opportunity to review vegan gluten free pizza from BOLD Organics pizzas I jumped at the chance. Could pizza without meat, dairy, or gluten still be delicious? The quick answer is yes – it can!
We received two pizzas, a veggie lovers and a plain cheese pizza. My husband actually broke into the cheese pizza while I was away at the Family Travel Conference in Dallas and loved it. It doesn’t taste gluten-free or vegan at all – in fact, it has a nice spicy flavor to it that makes it even more delicious than most frozen pizzas. Because of that though, I don’t think my kids would enjoy it as much – they prefer more bland flavors with their pizza.
The veggie lovers pizza is even better with delicious mushrooms, peppers, and onions. We cooked ours in the toaster oven, which made it crispy.
