Disclosure: I received a back to school kit from Hanes, and they are providing this prize. All opinions are my own.
It's almost time for back to school here in the Boston suburbs. My kids go back to school next Wednesday, and it feels like they just got out of school for the summer. We've had a full summer, with weeks of camp, weekends of softball, days at the pool, and an epic vacation to Greece. But I'm still sad that our summer is over. To prepare for the kids' return back to school, we've done lots of shopping – here are some of the things to add to your list.
Back to School Shopping Ideas
Many school districts supply families with school supply lists, so you'll just need to take your list to the store and shop. If you don't have a list, you may just want to get some new pencils and lined paper and wait to see if you'll need anything else.
My kids' feet are growing like weeds (both wear shoes bigger than mine now), so back to school time is always a great time to purchase a brand new pair of athletic shoes. I also look to purchase new boots in the early fall, while stores still have them in stock.
I also review the kids' school clothes, and buy new pants, shorts, coats, etc. They don't always need new stuff, so it's important to go through their current wardrobe to evaluate needs.
Kids always need new undergarments, and back to school season is the perfect time to refresh their wardrobe. We received a great kit from Hanes filled with everything the kids will need. Scroll on down to enter our Hanes giveaway, so you can get everything you need to.
My kids don't need new backpacks and/or lunch boxes each year, but I always evaluate them each year to see if they can still be used.
Some teachers include classroom supplies on their supply lists. But if they don't, consider purchasing a pack of tissues, some dry erase markers, and/or some wipes for the classroom.
