It’s almost the end of the summer, but hopefully there are still plenty of nice days on the horizon until winter arrives. I try to get my kids outside as much as possible when the weather cooperates. It’s great for a few reasons – they get some fresh air, and aren’t on electronics while they are outside. Since my kids are tweens, they aren’t as interesting in regular outdoor play – they prefer to be playing a specific game or sport. Lawn games are lots of fun because they appeal to a huge variety of ages and are also great for different locations – between games at a softball tournament, or at the beach, or instance. Here are three fun lawn games for kids.

Toysmith Get Outside GO! Bashminton
Bashminton is such a fun game that we all argue over who is going to play. It’s similar to badminton, but with larger rackets and a different “birdie”. It would be great for younger kids too, because the ball is so soft and lightweight. But all of us enjoy playing. It’s perfect for the backyard because you can’t really hit it too far, and it won’t do any damage. I just wish the balls could be purchased separately. It would be nice to have an extra one.

Toysmith Get Outside GO! Spring Ring
Spring Ring is another fun game that is great for kids of all ages (officially good for kids aged 4 and up). The rings are lightweight, making it easy to play. The kit comes with 2 spring ring disks, 1 rubber ball, and 1 splash ball, so there are different games that you can play with it.

PVC Framed CornHole Game Set
CornHole is such a popular game, but it isn’t the most portable. This set is lightweight and easy to pack up and transport, making it perfect to bring along with you. It comes with eight beanbags and a carry case, along with two CornHole targets.
