I find myself visiting our local CVS at least once a week. Not only does it sell a huge selection of products that I need on a regular basis, but I can also get great deals. I use the CVS Pharmacy app every time I visit the store, and I’m able to save money and accumulate Extra Bucks. Here are some ways that you can save money with the CVS Pharmacy app.
Saving Money With the CVS Pharmacy App
Easy Access to Your ExtraCare® Card
I have a lot of store cards in my wallet, so I like having easy access to my ExtraCare card right through the app. It’s much easier than remembering to bring along my card. Since you can accrue points and get deals by using your card, it’s important to do with each visit.
Within the “My Deals and Rewards” section of the app, you can see how much you’ve saved year to date ($171.12 for me), and view deals. Each of the deals can be sent directly to your card, so there is no need to clip coupons. You can also choose to enroll in any current ExtraCare programs for bonus points, like the extracare beautyclub® (earn $5 ExtraBucks rewards for every $50 spent on beauty). Those rewards can definitely add up.
View the myWeekly Ad
Within the myWeekly Ad section, you can choose to view either the personalized ads (based upon your purchase history) or regular weekly ads. I usually choose to look at my personalized ads, because they are pretty accurate. Once you find something that you want to purchase, you can add it to your list. That way, you don’t need to write out a shopping list. Since I make regular trips to CVS, I try to purchase things only when they are on sale, and the app definitely helps with that.
