When I created a home office out of our unused dining room a few years ago, I wanted to create a space that was completely functional, but also inspiring. My office also serves as my craft room, so I need a lot of storage, especially to hold all of my office supplies (which I seem to be addicted to buying). Over the past year or so I've found some great solutions, after trying a variety of things. Here are, in my opinion, the best home office products you can get for your home office.
The Best Home Office Products
Poppin Office Supplies
I love the bright colors of Poppin office supplies. My office is filled with their products because they are great quality and are so cheerful. Here are some of my favorites – they all come in a variety of colors (as well as white) if you aren't inspired by these colors. The ad over to the left has a code for 10% off orders of $100+, so it's a great time to stock up.
Ikea Office Supplies
When I set out to redesign my office, I first headed to Ikea. I found the perfect desk, which actually doesn't have any drawers at all. Instead, I have a filing cabinet and some other things that hold my belongings. I have found that to be the best solution, because now I have a large workspace to work on. Here are the products that worked for me.
Raskog Utility Cart – I put this together myself in just a short amount of time, and use it to hold things like tape, my label maker, pens, and notepads.
Fintorp Series – this flexible system is great for holding pens and other small office supplies (see the small metal pails in the collage above).
Tornliden Desk – this is my perfect desk. The legs are sold separately so you can mix and match colors.
Michaels Office Supplies
Cre8ted Space and Recollections – I love the new Cre8ted space line, which is only available in stores. It's reasonably priced, bright, colorful, and very functional. I also have some items from the Recollections craft storage line that I use to hold my craft supplies.
Miscellaneous Office Supplies
I absolutely recommend stocking your office full of supplies that you'll need – especially a laminator and a label maker. I use mine all the time. I also like using binders for storage (see my bill pay system and home maintenance planners here). While you certainly can use an electronic planner, I prefer paper, and recommend these best paper planners for moms (as well as the best pens for planners).
